More Than a Team — A Home

But the importance of Pratt Equestrian can't be measured in ribbons alone. For the students who ride, this team is a lifeline — a place of belonging, growth, and genuine community.

"Pratt Equestrian has transformed a sport that I grew up doing independently into a collaboration, and that makes me incredibly happy. Beyond that, the team has pushed me to be the best version of myself outside of the arena. I have learned to be a better leader, to perform under pressure, to be empathetic to others and their situations." — Audrey Flatt, incoming Co-Captain

"Being on this team has given me more than just a place to ride; it has given me a sense of belonging, support, and home, even when my real home is 10,000 miles away." — Aahan Pradhan

"The equestrian team has been one of the most grounding and meaningful parts of my college experience. Over the past three years, it's given me a community where I feel supported and genuinely connected to my peers. It's hard to imagine my college journey without something that has meant so much to me." — Katie McVeigh

"On the team I get to be a part of something bigger than myself. I am learning new skills every day, uplifting my peers, and bettering myself through balancing sports and academic life. Pratt Equestrian makes me a better person overall." — Sophia Potorti, incoming Co-Captain

Each week, these student-athletes come together with a shared passion for horses and riding, forming partnerships — with their horses, with each other — that demand emotional intelligence, trust, and mutual support. Emotions matter. Presentation matters. Skills matter. And teammates are essential to all of it.
